At Grundy Bank we contribute to the communities we serve through our time, talents and resources. We are dedicated to community involvement and believe it's our responsibility to give back to the communities that trust us with their financial well-being. We believe that part of our role as a community bank is to better the community for years to come.
Our officers and employees serve on boards for nonprofits and volunteer their personal time for a number of charitable organizations such as United Way, We Care of Grundy County, Kiwanis, Illinois Valley Industries, Habitat for Humanity, YMCA and many more. In addition, Grundy Bank has our own charitable group called the Grundy Bank Caring Committee that was formed over 10 years ago with the purpose to support not for profit organizations within our community.

Community Partnership
Brown Bag Fridays'
Brown Bag Friday is a free concert on the Grundy County Courthouse lawn on select Fridays through the summer months provided by Grundy Bank. Entertainers vary for each concert.
Each year Grundy Bank sponsors a Hot Dog Eating Contest as part of our Brown Bag Fridays. The contestants are a variety of local government officials, community leaders, not for profit volunteers and fellow business men and women. Each contestant selects an organization to benefit from the event. Whether or not they win the competition, each organization will walk away with a donation.
Our annual Brown Bag Friday Ice Cream Social is always a hit with our ice cream stand. Scoops are sold for 25 cents each with unlimited toppings. All proceeds benefit the Grundy Bank Caring Committee.
School Sponsorships
Grundy Bank sponsored both Morris and Wilmington varsity boys and girls basketball teams for a $3 for 3 Pointers program during their 2021 basketball season. Morris finished their season with a $717 sponsorship check and Wilmington finished their season with a $500 sponsorship check.
United Way
Grundy Bank is a proud supporter of United Way of Grundy County. Each year employees pledge their personal funds to help support the organization along with a donation from Grundy Bank. We continue to receive 100% employee participation in contributing to the United Way each year.
Annual Coat Drive
The Caring Committee's Annual Coat Drive has collected thousands of coats for local residents. This years coat drive will be from October 17, 2022 thru November 17, 2022 at both the main branch and Wilmington branch. All coats donated will go to We Care of Grundy County and Our Caring Closet of Wilmington. Thank you to all those who help keep someone warm this year! Grundy Bank and the City of Morris Fireworks Extravaganza
Every year, Grundy Bank and the City of Morris sponsors the Fireworks Extravaganza at the Grundy County Fairgrounds.
