Is my money safe?

We understand this is an unprecedented time for many with the market volatility. Please remember that your deposits held at Grundy Bank are insured up to the maximum allowable amount by law. For levels of coverage, we encourage you to visit the FDIC’s Electronic Deposit Insurance Estimator (EDIE). This will allow you to estimate the total coverage for all of your different deposit accounts such as checking, savings, money market, and certificates of deposits.

Scam Prevention: Tips & Tricks

This is also a great time to remind you about possible scams. Unfortunately, scammers use times of vulnerability to attack.

Please keep in mind we will never call you to ask for:

  • Your account number
  • Your Social Security number
  • Your online banking credentials

We also remind you to never give out your online banking credentials to anyone and keep your personal identification number (PIN) private.

Protect yourself and your money with these resources from the ABA Foundation.

ABA Cybersecurity Campaigns: #BanksNeverAskThat and #PracticeSafeChecks

Every October, Grundy Bank participates in Cybersecurity Awareness Month to help our customers stay vigilant against increasingly deceptive scams. Throughout the month, we share helpful tips and information from the American Bankers Association’s cybersecurity campaigns, #BanksNeverAskThat and #PracticeSafeChecks, on our Facebook and Instagram pages.

Our customers need to know one thing: Scams are getting more sophisticated, but learning how to slay them doesn’t have to be. Anyone can become a #ScamSlayer, too!

Why is this important?

  • Gallup and the Stop Scams Alliance report that $68 billion was lost to scammers last year, and nearly 3 in 4 U.S. adults have been the target of a scam.
